Thai Pongal Celebrations 2025
The Department of Commerce joyfully celebrated Thai Pongal on the 22nd of January, bringing together students from all four academic years in a vibrant display of unity and tradition. Thai Pongal, a Tamil harvest festival, honors the Sun God for a bountiful harvest and celebrates prosperity. The event featured traditional customs like cooking the ceremonial Pongal dish, symbolizing gratitude and abundance. Following the rituals, students participated in fun games and engaging activities that added color and excitement to the celebration. This lively gathering not only preserved cultural heritage but also strengthened the bonds within our department, making it a memorable and cherished occasion.
